Hola Familia! My name is Oseas Martinez, and I am beyond honored and excited to serve as President of the Hispanic Business Student Association.
Our organization has always stood for culture, community, ambition, and growth. To me, this organization is more than a student organization, it’s a familia that helps shape the people and leaders we become. As a first-generation college student, HBSA gave me mentorship, friendships, opportunities, and a community that helped shape who I am today.
This is why our mission is rooted in our culture and heritage, which is the foundation of our resilience and excellence. We lead with purpose, hold ourselves to the highest standards, and uplift one another to create generational change.
That mission is exactly what inspired our slogan this semester Set the Standard…
Setting the standard means expecting more from ourselves, not just as Bauer students, but as leaders, professionals, and members of our community. It means leading with purpose, showing up for one another, taking pride in our culture, and creating opportunities for those who come after us.
Every event we host, every connection we make, and every person we impact is an opportunity to show what we truly represent.
This semester, I challenge every member of our Familia to push themselves, support one another, and lead by example.
